Chugach Powder Guides provides guided helicopter and snowcat skiing
services in the western Chugach range. Based in Girdwood, Alaska CPG offers
clients unparalleled powder skiing and luxurious accommodations. With over 500,000
acres of exclusively permitted helicopter terrain, 1,000 acres of exclusive
snowcat skiing terrain and access to Alyeska resort, CPG clients are sure to
ski or board when they make the trip to Girdwood, rather than sitting around
on no-fly days wishing the weather would clear. CPG's all inclusive packages
feature lodging in the four diamond Alyeska Prince Hotel as well as the rustic
and stylish comfort of the Winner Creek Lodge. As the Northern-most rain forest
in the world, Girdwood often sees winters with over 900 inches of snow. CPG
regularly skis high alpine terrain that the Chugach Range has become famous
for. In addition, CPG has access to a substantial amount of tree skiing, a commodity
that other Alaskan operators have trouble offering. CPG also offers the famous
Kings and Corn program in June and early July. This program combines heli-skiing
the worlds finest corn snow in the immensity of the Alaska Range and heli-fishing
for gigantic King Salmon. This high ended package is extremely popular and guaranteed
to completely blow away even veteran heli-skiers.

Packages include:
· 5 day, 6 night and 7day, 8 night options
· deluxe lodging
· transportation to and from airport
· guaranteed vertical footage
· snowcat backup on no-fly days
· Private and semi private options

Please accept my hearty recommendation to give Chugach Powder Guides a try.
As a life long skier who has heli-skied all over the world, I'm happy to say
that after all of my searching, I think I've found the place I want to return
to, over and over again. I first went to Girdwood 5 years ago. After having
skied in Canada, Europe, New Zealand, various US locations and other places,
I wanted to give Alaska a try. CPG was recommended to me by one of the larger
Canadian heli operators I had been visiting for a number of years. I was looking
for an outfit that had fantastic skiing, a fun comfortable atmosphere and above
all, a great safety record. I had heard some stories about a slew of upstart
"extreme" Alaskan operations bent on going as close to the edge as
possible. This wasn't what I was looking for, and I happily discovered that
CPG was every bit as professional and disciplined (if not more) as any operation
I have ever seen. That first trip and every trip since, I've had my eyes opened
to what I consider to be the finest ski terrain in the world in the company
of excellent guides and service professionals. My accommodations have always
been second to none and the CPG staff has always been attentive to my every
need. I think that one of the best parts of skiing with CPG is the fact that
I know I am going to ski. On down (no-fly) days, I have done some of the best
powder skiing of my life in their snowcat area. We have skied this area on storm
days with fluffy, waist deep powder accumulating by the minute. On trips with
other operations, I have spent ten days in a small room watching static on the
TV and staring at the carpet praying for the weather to clear. Not so with CPG.
I've had days with CPG where I've skied back country powder on a storm day,
returned for an excellent meal at the Hotel, night skied the resort and nailed
out 25,000 vertical feet via helicopter the next day. When I go to ski with
CPG, I ski like a mad man, live like a king, have a fantastic social experience
and go home tired and happy with nothing to desire but my return trip next year.
Give CPG a try. You won't regret it.
